Courtney's "made up" word

I was helping Courtney learn how to blend words today so I said "Kuh--arrr" and after a moment she answered, "CAR!" And then she decides to make one up for me to guess:

"Kuh--ock".

There was a moment on silence on my end; eyes wide in shock as I asked, "cock?"

By this time I'm wondering what her friends at school are teaching her.

She says with a happy tone, "YES!"

I ask where she hears that word. Her response: "I made it up!"

Gotta love innocence.

I guess she could've been saying "caulk"...

Ha! That reminds me of how Jacob says "stick", by dropping the "st-" (since he can't say "s's" very well) and substituting a "d-". Funny!

Several months ago during Sacrament meeting Bryson turns to me and says (in no quiet voice) "Look, mom, I drew a cock!" Immediately the family behind us (happened to be he Goodman family, back when they were still in SV) burst out laughing while I tried to be a good mom and contain myself. A little scared to look, I peeked at the picture. It was a rooster. He'd been watching Chicken Run the whole week before!!! Gotta love kids.
